Arrivals model is a structured, safe system that adheres to "safe hours" principles. A constant high level of obstetric care is provided by the supervising obstetrician who remains totally committed to patients in labour. A roster system covering weekdays and weekend calls will mean that the on-call obstetrician will cover all the deliveries for Arrivals patients during a 24-hour period. This system leaves the obstetricians who are not on-call free to conduct uninterrupted antenatal consultations, with patients experiencing minimal delays when attending for routine antenatal visits.
In 2008, three highly experienced Brisbane obstetricians – Dr Paul Bretz, Dr Shane Higgins and Dr Vincent Loh – launched Arrivals.

Their reasoning was simple: After years of working as sole practitioners, they believed working together in a group practice model would enable them to provide better patient care.

Arrivals remains unique among Brisbane obstetric practices for our holistic and caring approach to our patients. Under one roof, our patients can access a suite of complementary services provided by our midwives, physiotherapists, dietitian and other therapists.

While we've welcomed thousands of precious Arrivals into the world since we began, we've also grown. Dr Amy Mellor joined our practice in 2009, Dr Megan Castner in 2012, and Dr Will Milford in 2014.
