We've experienced that nagging voice ourselves, while helping out with the organisation of numerous events over the past two decades. A while back, our CEO Greg Howell decided to let that voice have its way – and share what he learned about sustainable event management with businesses and events organisers around Australia. Climate Wave Eco-logical Event Solutions was born. Here's the reality: going green is easy. However, at Climate Wave we also understand that as an event organiser you don't have time to do everything! Which is why the Climate Wave team has harnessed a plethora of experience, up-to-date technology, supply chain and information. We stand ready to help you stage incredible events that protect the Earth, simultaneously raising your community standing among sponsors and patrons.

About Climate Wave

We know the impact of your event on the environment is in the back of your mind. That's why you're here.

And we're here to help. Because we know you're not alone; so many event organisers that we talk to have that same concern you want to minimise your event's environmental footprint, but it's the “how” that's the problem.

We'll let you in on a secret – that's our history too, and we've experienced that nagging voice ourselves while organising numerous events of our own, and with various community organisations, over the past two decades.

In fact, it's why Climate Wave Enterprises was created.

Going Green is Easy

Believe it or not, that is the reality. However, we understand that as an event organiser, you don't have time to do everything!

Which is why the Climate Wave team has harnessed a plethora of experience, up-to-date technology, supply chain suppliers and sustainable event information.

We stand ready to help you stage incredible events that protect the Earth, while simultaneously raising your community standing among sponsors and patrons.

About Greg Howell, Climate Wave's CEO

Climate Wave's Greg Howell

Greg Howell has just been elected to the Board of Directors for Sustainable Event Alliance who are the leading industry organisation with international branches. He started this path as a dedicated environmental advocate since he began surfing along Victoria's coastline in the late '70's.

In 1989, he attended his first No Nukes Rally, and finally gave in to the temptation of surfing in the warmer waters of the Gold Coast in 1992, where he has been a passionate environmental campaigner ever since.

Greg previously worked as executive director of Surfrider Foundation Australia, an organisation founded to care for the nation's waves and beaches where he also holds one of very few honorary lifetime memberships.

He has kick started a range of local and national environmental educational programs, and has devoted time to a myriad of other environmental causes, organisations and events.

Founding Climate Wave

In 2008, inspired by the simple changes he believed event organisers could make to minimise the impact of events on the environment, he founded Climate Wave Enterprises, and currently works to promote the practices of sustainable event management, green supply chains and cutting edge sustainability knowledge to event organisers around Australia.

Greg also serves as a mentor to a new generation of Surfrider Foundation members and is actively working with his own Eco Challenge events:

Looking to the future, Greg sees the invaluable contribution that sustainable event management practices can have on reducing our impact on the planet.

With the 2012 London ‘Sustainable' Olympic Games, and the education this will raise, Greg's sights are set on a sustainable future for all types of events, and helping create a similar local legacy both for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, and beyond.

Climate Wave Enterprises has had the great honour of working with the following events towards their sustainability goals:
