With over 300 members state wide, Marine Queensland is the recognised voice of Queensland's Recreational and Light Commercial Marine Industry.

Marine Queensland caters for the diverse interests and sectors within the industry ensuring strength from unity whilst maintaining the identity and focus of the individual industry sectors.

Marine Queensland has strongly advocated the interests of members across the three tiers of Government. It is because of this advancement that the industry is increasingly being recognised as a significant contributor to social cohesion and environmental sustainability. The social, environmental and economic contribution of the leisure marine industry is a major benefit to the State and Communities in which it operates.

Our Role & Purpose

Marine Queensland has a pivotal role as the peak industry organisation to advocate and promote the leisure marine industry co-cooperatively with the industry participants and to facilitate industry development.

So, on behalf of our members we:

  • Promote the Marine Industry through marketing and advocacy
  • Provide showcases for industry products through our boat shows
  • Provide leadership and liaise with Governments, Authorities and Agencies
  • Provide up to date information on legislative requirements
  • Provide technical, regulatory and manufacturing information and advice
  • Provide strategy, advice and practical assistance on environmental issues
  • Assist with training on OH&S, Trade Practices and Fair Trading Act requirements and recruitment
  • Provide Industry Accreditation programs
  • Provide consumer complaint mediation and resolution
  • Advise and represent on legal and financial matters
  • Conduct and provide research on Marine Industry markets
  • Conduct industry seminars, conferences& networking opportunities
  • Demand driven product and infrastructure development and investment attraction
  • Enhance awareness of the economic, social and environmental significance of the Leisure Marine Industry across all levels of government
