Sean is a qualified ambulance paramedic and practicing doctor working in a major suburban Brisbane hospital. Sean has worked on hundreds of major event projects delivering high quality pre-hospital care to a variety of organisations throughout Queensland and New South Wales through 1300MEDICS and other benevolent agencies including Sports Medicine Australia, St John Ambulance and the Queensland Ambulance Service. Sean is a trained and experienced educator and is a Queensland Health instructor for Advanced Life Support; he also holds Commander level certification in the internationally recognised Major Incident Medical Management course; as well as recognised certifications in Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics, Prehospital Trauma Life Support, and Emergency Crisis Resource Management. Sean is also one of the authors of Motorcycling Australia''s National Medical Code. Gerard McHugh BHSc(Paramedic) Operations Manager Gerard joined 1300MEDICS in 2008 and is a currently qualified ambulance paramedic. He brings over 7 years experience as an on-road paramedic to the organisation and has worked in several different roles including Single Officer Rapid Response, Communications Centre Secondary Triage Officer, and Clinical Deployment Supervisor. Gerard is also employed by the Queensland University of Technology as a Clinical Skills Tutor for students studying the Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic).

Dr Sean Wing (Managing Director) MBBS BHSc(Paramedic)

Sean was a foundation partner of 1300MEDICS in 2008. A qualified and still practicing ambulance paramedic with the Queensland Ambulance Service, Sean's prehospital and special event experience includes training and education for St John Ambulance, as well as service delivery across Queensland at major public events and mass gatherings for St John and Sports Medicine Australia. Sean subsequently completed medical school through the University of Queensland and is now undertaking specialist training in emergency medicine at a major suburban Brisbane hospital. Sean is also completing postgraduate studies through the James Cook University in public health and tropical medicine with a special interest in the health of mass gatherings.

Sean is an experienced educator and is a Queensland Health instructor for Advanced Life Support. Integrated simulation is also a special interest area and Sean has lead the development of training through simulating medical emergencies at the Ipswich Hospital. He has completed the internationally accredited Major Incident Medical Management course at the Commander level as well as recognised certifications in Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Prehospital Trauma Life Support and Emergency Crisis Resource Management. Sean is one of the contributing authors of the Motorcycling Australia National Medical Code.

Gerard McHugh (Client Support Manager) BHSc(Paramedic)

Gerard is a qualified ambulance paramedic with nine years' experience and advanced training which has led him to work in unique roles including Brisbane CBD Rapid Response Unit, and Operations Centre based role of Clinical Deployment Supervisor. He is also a Clinical Skills Tutor for Paramedicine at Queensland University of Technology. Gerard provides operational supervision and staff coordination as well as client support for 1300MEDICS.

Ethan Dooley (Operations Manager) DipParaSci

Ethan is a qualified ambulance paramedic, having worked in New Zealand for the national St John Ambulance service. He is now completing tertiary studies in nursing through the Queensland University of Technology. Ethan's enthusiasm and extensive experience working with event agencies such as St John Ambulance makes him a valuable asset in the planning and delivery of emergency medical care at major events and venues. Ethan is also an experienced set medic having recently worked on the Australian production ‘The Inbetweeners 2.' Ethan provides operational supervision and event and infrastructure coordination for 1300MEDICS.

Leigh Fowler (Clinical Support Manager) BHSc(Paramedic)

Leigh is a qualified ambulance paramedic with eight years experience in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Ipswich. She is currently completing her Masters of Paramedic Science through the Edith Cowan University. She is a Clinical Skills Tutor in Paramedicine for the University of Queensland and recently joined the management team in the new role of Clinical Support Manager to provide oversight and support of clinical staff during their development and to oversee the 1300MEDICS ongoing clinical education program.

Gracie Elliott (Human Resources Manager) BSc(Hons)

Gracie is a graduate of the Griffith University where she works as a tutor in biomedical sciences. Gracie is undertaking tertiary training as an ambulance paramedic and has previous experience as a volunteer for St John Ambulance. Gracie's role in the management team is the coordination of staff, rostering and resources.
