Apex Camps has been running camps for 26 years. Our first site – Apex Camp Mudjimba started from humble beginnings in 1986 when a group of civic minded Apexians from the local area wanted to provide the opportunity to engage the local community in the camp experience.

Over the years Apex Camp Mudjimba has grown from 1 building to one of the most respected camps on the Sunshine Coast.

From those beginnings we then opened Apex Camp Greenup to provide a truly unique bush experience for our groups.

In 2013 and 2014 we took over lease's on two previous Queensland Government Active Recreation Centre's on Magnetic Island and Lake Tinaroo. We can now offer our guests an unique island adventure on Magnetic Island off the coast of Townsville, or a tropical getaway on the famous Atherton Tablelands west of Cairns.

Apex Camps supports a number of youth initiatives through Apex, for example the Queensland Apex High School Debating Competition and Teenage Fashion Design Awards, as well as our Apex Kids to The Coast. Numerous time a year we sponsor and run camps that under-privileged children and children from troubled backgrounds can attend. These are just some of the ways Apex Camps gives back to the community.

Apex Camps was started by Apex Australia, a service organisation for men and women between the ages of 18 to 45 that want to give something back to their communities. Apex was started in Australia in 1931. Today there are Apex Clubs throughout Australia and in several countries abroad. By choosing to stay at an Apex Camp, you are helping Apex serve local communities.
