Dr Katrina DwyerBachelor of Applied Science (Complementary Medicine) – Master of OsteopathyDr Katrina Dwyer graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Complimentary Medicine) and a Masters degree in Osteopathy. She moved from Melbourne in 2008 to Queensland and has been working both in Brisbane and the Sunshine coast since.Katrina is an avid golfer with a handicap of 6, and through her training at the Victorian Institute of Sport she has developed a keen interest in treating all sports related injuries. From both personal and professional perspective’s, Katrina has found that osteopathy can be very effective in improving and maintaining performance at any level.Katrina uses an array of osteopathic techniques to treat many common musculoskeletal complaints including headaches, sciatic pain and disc injuries to name a few. She has also had experience in managing pregnancy related complaints and treating children. One of Katrina’s main aims is to assist people of all ages to achieve an active and healthy lifestyle.Dr Cassandra LaceyBachelor of Applied Science (Complementary Medicine) – Master of OsteopathyDr Cassandra Lacey (Cassie) grew up in rural Northeast Victoria on a small hobby farm before moving to Melbourne to persue her studies as an Osteopath. She graduated from Victoria University Melbourne with a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and a Masters in Health Science (Osteopath). Her thesis saw her focus on the effects of Osteopathic treatment on Primary Dysmenorrhoea (Period Pain).Whilst completing her studies, Cassie’s love of anatomy found her working in the Victoria University Anatomy Laboratory for 3 years. She also was involved with the Coburg Tigers Football club as a sports trainer and rehabilitation assistant.Cassie enjoys treating a wide variety of patients from children to elderly, pre-post pregnancy and athletes to office workers. Tailoring each treatment to the individual Cassie uses a range of osteopathic techniques including soft tissue, stretching, manipulation, mobilisation, myofascial release and rehabilitation.In her spare time Cassie enjoys keeping fit and active playing social netball and tennis. She also has a great love of the outdoors enjoying camping and fishing on the long weekends.
