Queensland Rugby is the governing body for the Code of Rugby Union in Queensland.

The union has 27 affiliated members and represents the interests of more than 250,000 participants at over 200 clubs and 450 schools which incorporate around 20,000 officials, administrators and volunteers across the state.

Secondly, Queensland Rugby is also responsible for the representative rugby pathways which culminate in the professional Super Rugby team, the St. George Queensland Reds.

Super Rugby Champions in 2011 and back to back Australian Conference winners in 2011/12,  the Reds continue to capture the hearts and minds of the rugby community in Queensland after re-energising the game with their electric brand of Rugby and their ongoing community engagement.

The ability of Queensland Rugby to leverage both the community and elite rugby assets in tandem for their mutual benefit provides rugby’s stakeholders – the players, officials, volunteers, clubs, schools and fans – with a clear and unified position from which to grow the game.
