Gino's Restaurant has been in the Barakat family since 1981. With parents, Sayed and Deborah, paving the way with their recipes for success, the restaurant has since been run successfully by children Simon, Charlotte and Dominique. The trio's cousin, Eddie, has also been a big part of the Gino's family, enjoying over 25 years working in the restaurant. Family is important at Gino's – a value which works to create the restaurant's unique vibe. When staff are made to feel as much a part of the family who run it, it's no wonder that you'll feel right at home too! While some regulars may notice a few new faces amongst the current staff members, the loyalty and passion of the Gino's Originals continues to shine through. Whether they've grown up as patrons of the restaurant, or have heard about us through friends, the Gino's staff all work together to promote a warm, family orientated atmosphere and deliver a vibrant service. Gino's is now a fully licensed restaurant. We have a strict BYO policy limited to bottled wine only. For more information about our drinks menu, or for enquiries about our corkage prices, please phone (07) 3268 5366 during business hours. When Sayed and Deborah took over Gino's in 1981, they never expected the success their humble restaurant would come to know. Seeking the perfect spot to share their family's hearty recipes, the site at 468 Kingsford Smith Drive was the ideal location to welcome other people into their family, providing a warm and convenient location for them to reunite with loved ones as they travelled between the city and the airport. Now thirty-three years on, Gino's has grown to be a Brisbane institution. Throughout its vibrant history, Gino's has continued to deliver iconic, flavour-packed meals with exceptional value for money. Patrons are known to travel from interstate to experience the Italian tradition and fulfil cravings for restaurant favourites, such as the Bella Napoli and, more recently, the Simon's Special pasta with chilli, bacon and prawns. Front of House Manager, and youngest daughter of Sayed and Deborah, Dominique says that a lot of the restaurant's success comes from their ability to change with the important trends, while not forgetting what has always worked in the past. By introducing an extensive range of gluten free and allergy friendly options, Gino's is able to cater for the whole family. Prices have remained affordable and meal sizes are extremely generous—a selling point which has opened the doors of the restaurant, encouraging the addition of an entire section to the side of the kitchen. Currently capacity will seat 210 patrons and, due to demand, weekend bookings have become essential to secure a table. The Barakat's are passionate about their restaurant, as they well should be given the reputation they've built. While on first glance Gino's may still appear to be a humble family restaurant, it has grown to be so much more than that. A bustling hub that is rich with good food, exudes a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and caters for your every need—Gino's is the ideal restaurant for your next dining experience. Come and experience what has been bringing people back, up to three times a week for the last thirty-three years. Welcome to the family.
