In this day and age our mobile phones have become more of a necessity than an added convenience. We not only use them to stay in touch with family, friends, clients and associates, we run our life by them. They are our alarm clock, our GPS, our web browser, our personal organiser, our banking system, our notepad, our portable computer, our entertainment, and they are by our sides nearly every minute of every day.
We've all felt the frustration of dealing with a larger communications provider. From the start everything seems great, easy even. But then one day you have a question, a problem, or a need – and it's urgent. As you dial the number desperately needing answers and solutions you're confronted with bad on-hold music and a computerised voice telling you there will be at least a 30 minute wait if not longer.

30 minutes later. 40 minutes later. An hour later and you're still on hold. You're now getting fidgety and your attention turns off the bad hold music to that call, email, deadline or assignment that should have been received by now. You start to stress. As if sensing your annoyance finally you hear a voice on the other end of the line say “How can I help you?” So you describe your issue in detail.

Perhaps they can help you then and there. But more often than not you'll get sent to another person or another department. You're on hold again, though thankfully for only ten minutes this time. “How can I help you?” says a voice in a thick accent obviously from an overseas call centre.
Again, you describe your issue in detail. They try to help you but you're having trouble understanding them. You ask if you can talk to someone else. You're on hold again, maybe even singing along to the music now. Then, finally, you reach someone who can help you and you can understand. Problem solved then and there or maybe in a day or two.

Time investment: 1-2 hours. Frustration level: High.

You know the feeling don't you? You probably even found yourself nodding along as you read the story, recounting your own experiences that were almost identical. Unfortunately this has become the customer service standard in the communications industry and what's worse is customers are even beginning to expect it.

It really shouldn't be this way, and at Mobiles Galore we're making sure it's not.
