Big Cat Charters runs charter trips from Raby Bay, just south of Brisbane and on the western shore of Moreton Bay. We offer a variety of services to those chartering the vessel from bottom bashing for snapper, trag jew, pearlies and all the other tasty bottom fish, right up to trolling for serious gamefish like marlin and other serious sportfish, and bouncing the bottom on the deep offshore reefs.
Big Cat Charters safely completed over one thousand deep sea charter trips and one of our previous vessels Primeover was also featured on television shows such as “Creek to Coast”, “Queensland Weekender”, “Escape with ET” and “Hooked on Water”.

Big Cat is a luxury 47 foot flybridge cruising cat, which runs on cushioned foils to give you the ultimate comfortable ride, and can operate at speeds of over 30 knots fully loaded. We get to the fish sooner and in comfort.

Big Cat is fitted with the latest NavNet 3D system and displays on 2 massive 17 inch monitors on the flybridge and a huge wide screen TV in the saloon, the boat can also be remotely controlled from anywhere on board. So the fish have nowhere to hide (if they are there, we will find them)Big Cat is surveyed for 26 passengers and 3 crew and is full walk around with seating at every fishing position, we normally fish only 16 -18 per trip, giving every angler plenty of room to land the big ones in comfort.

Our skipper (Mick) has more than twelve years experience in the Charter Fishing industry, and our crew is certified and fully trained to assist you.

We fish with Daiwa Saltist, Shimano Tekota 800, TLD’s, Baitrunner’s fitted to custom build rods for complete angling pleasure.

Big Cat has huge built in freezers, and fridges to keep your catch fresh, and our crew will gut your fish ready for your trip home. (It is illegal to fillet fish on board).

Big Cat can handle all forms of fishing from sport fishing for pelagic like tuna, wahoo, mackerel, mahi mahi, sailfish and marlin to bottom fishing for snapper, pearl perch, jobfish, tuskfish, sweetlip, sampsonfish, kingfish, pigfish and many more.

We fish with quality Mustad hooks to provide a cleaner hookup, and have a wide range of lures on board for trolling for your fish.
