This vision is underpinned by our commitment to “pursue this vision with open hearts, open minds, courage and capability". Tullawong State High School is an urban school in the north-west of Caboolture, one hour's drive north of Brisbane. Our students come to us from a wide range of rural, urban and suburban areas. Tullawong State High School successfully blends excellence in academic performance, creative arts and sports. The school, now in its 20th year, has an enrolment of approximately 1000. The school offers access to state-of-the-art technology, flexible timetables, tertiary pathways, apprenticeships and traineeships and an inclusive care program. Students have many opportunities with the school offering programs including dance and drama troupes, music groups, wine making and tourism. The students at Tullawong State High School are nurtured in a learning environment that values respect, encouragement, aspiration, care and honesty.

Welcome to Tullawong State High School.  Tullawong is a state high school, proudly serving our local community. We are committed to delivering an academic advantage to our students that will contribute significantly to their future success in work, family life and community service. Our programs and practices embed our values of diligence, integrity, courage and respect within all areas of learning and school life.

Our students are motivated, enterprising young people, who strive for personal success in their studies. Tullawong students are committed to the values, aspirations and goals of their school. Our staff and students are inspired in their work to pursue our school motto, “Soaring to Great Heights”.  Our collective drive to support each student to reach his or her potential and achieve results, is reflected in the energy and diligence invested in our work to make every lesson count.

The Tullawong State High School House System is the underpinning structure for a healthy, caring school culture. Our House System supports our students and staff with the opportunity to learn and create in a disciplined learning environment that delivers results.  Our House Leaders and Care Teachers ensure daily contact and support for all students, to meet the requirements of their school work and enjoy a happy, fulfilling school day.

As a “School of Creative Excellence”, we support our students to reach beyond the ordinary, to the extraordinary. Tullawong students are supported in their pursuit of excellence through the “Phoenix Performance Coaching Program”. This is an internal coaching program supporting teachers and students. The program is led by our Director of Coaching and our leadership team comprising of 25 school leaders qualified as cognitive coaches and ADOBE Educational Leaders.

We enjoy a close relationship with our local university, QUT, where our senior students are successfully applying to begin their university subjects in Years 11 and 12. Students from years 8 to 12 take advantage of sampling university life through their participation in a range of university sponsored workshops, competitions and on campus experiences.

I am proud and privileged to be the Principal of Tullawong State High School. Together my staff and I share a passion to lead this great school. We guide our students to undertake their work with open hearts and minds,  as they develop a deep understanding and knowledge of the importance of lifelong learning. At each level of schooling, our students prepare to make significant contributions to the success and welfare of our community, both now and into the future.
