With close to ten years marketing experience, Martin along with the rest of the team, knows what it takes to deliver. 2. Celest. Not a girls name, but an overarching purpose to aim for beyond the stars. 3. Professional. We're not making this one up to say nice things about ourselves - but we are committed to being a cost-effective professional marketing service while being genuine and confident in who we are, and what we can achieve. 4. BEHIND CELEST Martin van Rensburg Martin is a marketing specialist who has worked within a range of industries from a boutique advertising agency to federal government. He is a Councillor for the Queensland Public Relations Institute of Australia. And now the founder of his own marketing consultancy. Martin founded the consultancy Celest Marketing and after several years of working on projects in a part-time capacity he went full-time in early 2010. Along with his team they have directed Celest to provide professional communication tools for small to medium sized businesses assisting to tell their brand story. From 2006 , Martin had been the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer at Ipswich City Council a leading centre of growth in South-East Queensland. In this challenging role he led a core team of Marketing and Communication Officers and support staff in the delivery of council communication strategies. In his spare time he manages the marketing for Botswana Orphan Project. An initiative aimed to assist orphans that have been victims to the HIV/AIDS crisis with housing and education. In 2008 and 2009 Martin travelled to Botswana with a volunteer group to help build two of the orphanages. Martin graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Communications while completing internships with Channel Nine and on the Gold Coast Schoolies festival with the Department of Premier and Cabinet. Prior to working at Ipswich City Council, Martin worked as an account manager for a advertising agency and a feature writer for a food and wine magazine and a web designer at the Australian Taxation Office in Canberra. He even had a stint teaching English at a International School in Seoul, South Korea. Outside of work Martin enjoys travelling and getting behind the camera and taking photos. He is outgoing, creative, hardworking and a motivated communication professional.
