Christine has been in the health industry for over 20 years educating, inspiring and empowering clients to achieve their personal health and fitness goals. She began her career in Canada as a fitness instructor teaching community based group exercise classes and developing skate and ski fit programs. She has a passion for running and has presented workshops on “The Importance of Cross Training” and “Core Essentials” for the Sports Medicine Council of British Columbia at their 10K Run Clinics. She is an exercise physiologist, Fitness Queensland registered Personal Trainer, Gym Instructor and Group Exercise Instructor. With a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movements under her belt, she has worked with physiotherapists and chiropractors providing rehabilitation therapy in both Canada and Australia. After moving to Australia in 1999, she spent time with the Wesley Hospital Back Rehabilitation Clinic providing core stability education and self management techniques to chronic back pain patients. Her experience also includes supervising individual Pilates based rehabilitation programs for a variety of clients including post natal mothers. As an exercise physiologist she has provided exercise rehabilitation to chronic pain patients injured at work and specialises in up to date training techniques in core stability, postural awareness and motivational methods. “After becoming a mum for the first time (Levi – born in April 2006), I soon learned about all the joys and challenges a new baby brings, especially when it comes to health, fitness and trying to keeping your sanity amoungst all the demands of motherhood! I discovered the importance of connecting with other mums and finding ways to spend quality time with my baby while I exercised. It became noticeably apparent to me that there wasn't much out there for new mums in the way of safe, affordable and post natal specific exercise programs. That's when my focus shifted from exercise rehabilitation to post natal exercise and mummy motivating. I created Mummylicious Fitness in 2007 and am now devoted to helping new mums become the fittest they can be while having fun doing it! I now have two children (Ella born in October 2007) who grew up attending stroller group with me every day up until they were 5 and we had a fantastic time in the class together – it's the best job I have ever had!” “As a personal trainer, my goal is to motivate, educate and inspire new mums to live healthy, happy and balanced lives so they can enjoy the most precious time in their life. I guarantee to be there for encouragement and support every step of the way!”
