With its renowned sandy beaches, stunning bush land and picturesque freshwater lake system, North Stradbroke Island is a haven for those that love to unwind outdoors. Below is just a small selection of the things to see and do during your stay at our Straddie accommodation.

Beaches and Natural Attractions
The resort is located just a short drive from the popular patrolled shores of Main Beach and Cylinder Beach, where favourable wind speeds create some of the best surfing conditions in Queensland. If you can drag yourself away from the waves, you’ll find a beautiful network of freshwater lakes and untamed bush land just waiting to be explored.

Whale Watching and Wildlife
North Stradbroke Island is home to a diverse range of native birds and animals. During your stay with us you can expect to see koalas, lorikeets, kookaburras and cockatoos enjoying their natural environment, while Amity Point Jetty, located just paces from our Stradbroke Island apartments, is one of the best places on the island to watch dolphins frolicking in the surf. Enjoy our dolphin visits by the local dolphins at our private jetty.

Whale watching season is perhaps the island’s most famous wildlife attraction and takes place between June and November each year as hundreds of humpback whales make their way north to calve.

Dining
You’ll find a tempting selection of cafes and restaurants close to the resort at Amity Point and Point Lookout, while local seafood supplier Rufus King Seafoods is a great place to stock up on trawler-fresh fish, prawns and crabs. Of course, you can always catch your own fish at one of the fantastic local fishing spots and then cook up the catch using our barbecue facilities for the ultimate holiday meal
