Dr Darren Ringelstein founded Algester Dental in 1994 in a private clinic shown in the photograph below. However, his aim was to create a practice that's comfortable and not clinical. The photos below show how the current Algester Dental Practice came to be. Dr Darren Ringelstein's goal was to create a warm and relaxed, yet functional and modern dental practice that staff enjoy working in, and our patients love coming to! From the moment you walk in our doors you can tell that he succeeded. As you enter our bright, contemporary lounge, you're greeted with a warm smile and fresh inviting scent. Both kids and adults are invited to relax before their appointment.

Francine Jaeger, Assistant Dentist

Fran has joined the Algester Dental team in mid 2014. She graduated in 2004 at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) in Brazil and worked for 6 years in the private and public sector. Fran enjoyed being responsible for the Oral Health Care of patients with Special Needs and Children. Doing this greatly developed her caring and gentle way to look after her patient’s needs.
In 2010, Fran moved to Bendigo- VIC with her husband and did 2 years of Dental studies to pass the Australian Dental Council exams. She then joined the Bendigo Health Dental Clinic where she worked until moving to Brisbane in the beginning of 2014.Fran loves all areas of Dentistry and will make sure you are well looked after with our great Algester Dental Team.
On her time off, she loves travelling and doing outdoor activities with her daughter and husband.
In the past two years, family dental care in Australia has taken a back seat on many families’ list of priorities. With unstable economies in Europe and the U.S, and even back home here in Australia, everyone is more cautious of spending unnecessarily.

At Algester Dental we understand that health care sometimes comes at a cost, which is precisely why it is so important to take regular care of yourself and your family’s teeth. We never believe in pushing unnecessary treatment. We do, however, believe in making every effort to protect your teeth and your oral health for a lifetime.

Too often we find new patients who have had a history of visiting the dentist in pain and requiring expensive and time consuming treatment. This is why we don’t believe in ‘patch-up work”, which involves only fixing problems when they arise. We want to make a difference in your oral health by providing personalised, comprehensive and preventative care. This means taking the time to find out exactly how your oral health is by assessing not just your teeth, but also the health of your gums , your bite, and your mouth as a whole. We always check for signs of oral cancer and at times, we refer to experienced specialists if we believe they can help to obtain the best outcomes possible.

We never want our patients to come in with broken teeth, large cavities and excruciating toothaches. All of these are uncomfortable, costly, and time consuming. So that you can save both time and money in the long run, we believe in Continuing Care. Lots can change in a short period of time.

In over 25 years of service to the community, we have found that the best way to care for your teeth and gums is to see us for regular six monthly professional cleaning and examinations.

Your teeth and gums affect the foods you eat, the way you speak, and how you smile at the world. Here at Algester Dental we understand that health care sometimes comes at an immediate cost, but it’s all about ‘forward thinking’. To us, providing you with the very best treatment and care is worth all of our efforts, and to you, it may be worth every penny.
